Several illnesses including COVID-19 and influenza are circulating now that school is back in session. Wash hands to prevent the spread of infection. Avoid sharing drinks and food. The CDC has updated illness precautions to try to prevent the spread of all respiratory infections. Stay home if you are sick and have a fever. You may return to school (or work) when you have had 24 hours of no fever and decreased symptoms. If you still have mild symptoms when you return to school, consider wearing a mask until symptoms have completely resolved, especially if you test positive for a specific disease such as COVID-19. Take care and be well!

We are all waiting for news from the CDC about the updated COVID vaccine and the monoclonal antibody for RSV. We will update this website with information about CDC recommendations and vaccine availability as soon as we know.
It's that time of the year again when we start rolling out our flu vaccine clinics. For the month of September, we are offering some Saturday Flu Vaccine Clinics in Orinda, between 9:00am to 12:30pm, by appointment only. First Saturday Flu Vaccine Clinic is on 9/9/2023! We will make each Saturday available as soon as we get more flu vaccines. Space is limited, please sign up for one appointment time per family, with the youngest child's name and date of birth. Please do not double book or your appointment may get canceled.
You can sign your child up for a flu vaccine appointment here: Solv https://www.solvhealth.com/book-online/A9mEQA. In the last week, COVID vaccine recommendations and guidelines have recently changed. Monovalent COVID vaccines are no longer authorized for use. We ask for your understanding as we have no control over when we will get our next shipment of COVID vaccines. Please continue to check our website for any updates. In the meantime, we have closed the COVID Solv Clinic until Mid May. We will update it as soon as we receive our orders. We wanted to update everyone on our office power issues. Power at the Orinda office is currently back on. However, the elevators in our Berkeley office are currently down. The building maintenance crew are working on fixing them now and we will let you know once they are back up and running.
As of 2:50pm, the power is out in our Orinda office. If you need to reach us, you can still call at us at (925) 438-1100 for urgent matters only. As of now, our doctors are still seeing patients who have a scheduled appointment. We will keep you posted as things change. Stay tuned!
Starting March 1st, the Solv Flu Clinic will be closed until we need to reopen it again for the next flu vaccine season. If your child needs to get a 2nd flu vaccine, the receptionist will help schedule a nurse shot visit when you check out after your well visit.
We are happy to announce that you can now make payments securely and directly through the patient portal with BluePay. You no longer need to log in to Instamed to make payments on your account.
We will be phasing out the Instamed payment option by the end of March, which also means that if you have a credit card on file with our office we will need to update this to our new platform. We hope to make this a smooth and easy transition. We now have the Bivalent COVID-19 Booster available. Patients can receive this booster if it's been at least 2 months after their 2nd dose and/or last monovalent vaccine OR 3 months after they were positive for COVID-19.
