HealthDay reports, “Hundreds of thousands of cases of diarrhea in young children have been prevented since routine vaccination against rotavirus began in the United States a decade ago,” thereby translating “into a savings of more than $1 billion in medical costs,” researchers found. The findings were published online in the Journal of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society.
