Berkeley Monday Drop-In Hours

Announcing Monday morning drop-in hours in the Berkeley office! Because of the popularity of our Orinda Monday morning drop-in hours, we are expanding to the other office. Starting December 1, 2008 and running through the end of May, East Bay Pediatrics will be open in Berkeley from 8:00am-8:45am for drop-in urgent care visits. No appointment necessary. Please note: your child may not be seen prior to 9:00 am if the office is busy.

Flu Vaccine

Flu vaccine is here! Both inactivated flu vaccine (injection or shot) and Flumist (nasal spray) are available at East Bay Pediatrics. Influenza (flu) vaccine is now recommended annually for all children ages 6 months through 18 years. Flu infection and transmission rates are highest in children. Those with asthma, heart disease, kidney disease or other chronic illnesses are at particularly high risk. We recommend early vaccination both for protection throughout the flu season (usually October through April or May) and to ensure that supplies are still available.

Flu Vaccine Clinics - No appointment needed for Flu Vaccine Dates

A parent or guardian must be present for vaccines to be administered to children under the age of 18 years. Children should not be ill when they come in for the flu vaccine.

Please note: In order to expedite visits for flu vaccine only, you or your insurance will be billed after the vaccine is given. No payments, including copays will be collected at the time of visit. If your insurance does not pay for the vaccine, it is your responsibility to submit payment in a timely manner.

Extended Evening Hours

Announcing extended evening hours! East Bay Pediatrics is proud to offer office hours until 7:30pm on some Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Orinda office. If your child has an illness or emergency after normal business hours, please be sure to call the office in advance.

New Appointment Confirmation System

East Bay Pediatrics has started a new automated appointment confirmation system. Expect to be called two days prior to your child's appointment in the early evening hours. There will be an option to press a number to confirm your appointment. We anticipate that this system will make it easier for you to confirm your appointments.

Please note that this system cannot access blocked numbers. If you have a blocked number or if you have any other problems with this new system, please call our business office at (925) 438-1100, option 8.
